The13 Going on 30actress and the CEO first connected in 2018, shortly after Garnerfinalized her divorcefromBen Affleck, with whom she sharesthree children— Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

The couple were spotted having a date night in the Los Angeles area in August 2024, with a source telling PEOPLE that Garner is"happy with" Milleramid herex-husband Affleck’s divorce from Jennifer Lopez. The pair’s relationship has been remarkably under the radar, and despite a brief split in 2020, Garner and Miller rekindled.

“They took a long break from dating, but Jen is very happy thatthey are back together,” a source told PEOPLE in February 2023.

Miller graduated from Stanford Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif honor society. He went on to join the California Bar in the Northern District of California.

He’s a businessman and CEO

Miller serves as the chairman of CaliGroup, a technology company that owns the CaliBurger restaurant chain and invests in various tech ventures. He also serves as CEO of CaliGroup’s portfolio company, PopID.

Under Miller’s leadership, CaliGroup has developed cutting-edge technology, including “Flippy,” a burger-flipping robot designed to improve efficiency in the kitchen. According to the company website, it’s focused on “using technology to transform the restaurant and retail industries.”

“We really think of ourselves as a technology company that happens to sell cheeseburgers,” Millersaidin 2017.

Prior to his involvement with CaliGroup, Miller joined Arrowhead as vice president of intellectual property in 2004. He also co-founded NanoAdvisors, a consulting firm that bridges the gap between nanotechnology researchers and legal, corporate and financial institutions.

In addition to his business ventures, Miller has made contributions to the field of nanotechnology through his writing. He co-authoredThe Handbook of Nanotechnology Business, Policy and Intellectual Property Lawin 2004, which provides a comprehensive analysis of the commercial challenges and legal considerations of nanotechnology.

He has also written numerous articles on legal and policy issues in the field, and Miller’s work has been published inNanotechnology Law & Business, where he also served as managing editor.

He was previously married and has two kids

Before his relationship with Garner, Miller was married to Caroline Campbell, a violinist who has performed with artists likeAndrea Bocelli,Josh GrobanandSting. The couple married in 2005 and divorced in 2011, and they share two children.

Garner and Miller began dating in 2018, shortly after Garner finalized her divorce from Affleck.

“Although the divorce was just finalized, Jen has considered herself single for a long time. Dating is just a natural step,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “Jen will always care about Ben and help him be the best dad. She was very ready to move on though.”

Garner and Miller briefly split in 2020

In 2020, the pair reportedly split. In January 2020, Garner told PEOPLE that she was “looking forward to a whole new decade,” adding that “it feels like afresh start.”

“They have a very special relationship,” a source told PEOPLE in February 2023. “It’s never been the easiest one though since they both have families,” they said, adding that Garner was “very happy” to be back with Miller.

A source told PEOPLE in August 2024 that the actress is content in her private relationship with Miller.
