Whoopi Goldberg Celebrates Her Birthday With Her Italian And Travel-Inspired Favorites

Whoopi Goldbergsaid what she said!

“I always wanted my face on cheese," co-hostSara Hainessaid.

“I like to be eaten from time to time,” Goldberg quipped, leading Haines to slowly turn around and playfully walk off stage at the NSFW joke.

The studio audience laughed and applauded as Haines stepped back into frame laughing and wrapping her arms around Goldberg.

“Never mind,” Goldberg declared, playfully putting on a confused face.

She went on to describe the origins of the parmesan cheese before saying, “If you would like a chance to win a wheel just like this one…”

“And eat Whoopi Goldberg!” Haines chimed in.

“That’s right,” Goldberg giggled.

Also for her 69th birthday, Goldberg wasnamed as the face of fashion brandAmi’s fall/winter 2024 campaign, which “depicts the essence of Whoopi herself: a contagious smile, charismatic stature and tender glance,” per a press release.

If all that wasn’t enough, the comedian is starring as Miss Hannigan inAnnieat NYC’s Madison Square Garden starting Dec. 11, and has been working on the third installment of theSister Actmovie franchise.

On Nov. 6, she appeared onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,where she shared an update on the project. She said thatbecause of the recent deathofMaggie Smith, who appeared in the original films as Mother Superior, there had been changes in production.

“We’re having to make some readjustments because we just lost Maggie Smith, as you know,” Goldberg said. “And so, we will get it done. We will get it done. It’s just, it’s a shift.”

Goldberg previouslytold PEOPLEthat the long-awaited thirdSister Actfilm was “still on the way” and “percolating.”

In March, she revealed that the team was “in the process of writing the script,” and responded “yes and no” when asked if she was handling the script herself.

“It’s hard to do everything,” the EGOT winner said. “And I like to think that I can, but I’ve come to the understanding that I can’t do as much stuff simultaneously as I’d like to.”
