Hoda Kotbrecently welcomed a special visitor toher new suburban home!

On Monday, Sept. 16, theToday with Hoda and Jennahost, 60, spoke with co-hostJenna Bush Hager, 42, about hostingToday’sSavannah Guthrieand her family at her new place in the suburbs of New York City.

But when Guthrie confirmed the time in the very near future that she was going to be arriving, it put Kotb in a state of panic. “I go, ‘Oh my God,’ " she said, noting that she and her daughters — Hope, 4, and Haley, 7, — began to frantically search for snacks to serve.

“Hope initially got bowls and started putting in carrots and blueberries in just random bowls and was just going to leave them out. And Haley was like, ‘No, that’s not right.’ So they put all that in the freezer for unknown reasons,” Kotb said.

She soon realized that they had “a bunch of cupcakes” that a friendly neighbor had given them earlier. “We put them out . . . We made lemonade. Hope put mint in it and we had a little spread,” Kotb shared.

Bush Hager then asked about the length of Guthrie’s stay.

“I have to say Savannah understands and she was like, ‘We’re coming and going,'” Kotb recalled of her fellow busy mom. (Guthrie shares Vale, 10, and Charley, 7, with husband Michael Feldman.)

In order to not overstay their welcome during the last-minute drop-in, Kotb says, “They came in, they ate some cupcakes, they walked around, the kids were on the swings for like 10 minutes and she goes, ‘All right, time to go, kids!’ "

Bush Hager — who also has little ones Mila, 11, Poppy, 9, and Hal, 5, with husband Henry — chimed in, “I mean, I was there for about three minutes. So thirty is like, she might as well have spent the weekend.”

“Now, our front door is already open. It’s just the screen. Ding dong, a woman came over. She’s like, ‘We live across the street. Here’s a pie and here’s my daughter. She’s in high school,’ " Kotb shared. “You know what I said? ‘Come inside!’ "

On Sunday, Sept. 15, Kotbshared a few photoson herInstagramof her visit with Guthrie and her family. In one photo, the co-hosts smiled together while standing on Kotb’s deck, while in another, their families are posed together as they sat on a couch inside.

“Home.@savannahguthrie,” Kotb captioned the post.

Guthrie replied: “Where so much heart is ❤️❤️❤️.”
