Will Forteremains proud of his scrappedCoyote vs. Acmemovie even though it may never see the light of day.
The actor, 53, shared a message on social media Thursday addressed to the cast and crew of the Looney Tunes film, which “a lot of you haven’t gotten a chance to see … and sadly, it’s looking like you never will.”
“When I first heard that our movie was getting ‘deleted,’ I hadn’t seen it yet. So I was thinking what everyone else must have been thinking: this thing must be a hunk of junk. But then I saw it. And it’s incredible.”
Forte made the live-action–animation hybrid film with John Cena and Lana Condor. In November, the studio Warner Bros. revealed it was shelving the completed product altogether, then allowing for it to be shopped around to other distributors,Varietyreported.
In his message Thursday, Forte calledCoyote vs. Acme"super funny throughout, visually stunning, sweet, sincere and emotionally resonant in a very earned way." He added that he feels “lucky … to be a part of something so special.”
“The people who paid for this movie can obviously do wahtever they want with it. It doesn’t mean I have to like it (I f—ing hate it). Or agree with it. And it doesn’t mean that this movie is anything less than magnificent.”
