Winning Powerball Jackpot Ticket Worth $1.3 Billion Sold in Oregon

A winning Powerball jackpot ticket worth $1.3 billion was sold in Oregonon April 6.

The Powerball jackpot grand prize climbed to$1.33 billionahead of the latest drawing, with winning numbers 44, 27, 52, 22, 69 and Powerball 9.

According toPowerball’s website, the winner has two options now that they’ve won the big bucks: receive their prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or a lump-sum payment of $621 million.

“On behalf of Powerball, I’d like to congratulate the winner of this $1.326 billion jackpot. Winning the Powerball is not just about hitting the jackpot, it’s about the power to make dreams a reality and to create positive change in the world,” said Drew Svitko, Powerball Product Group Chair and Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director.

He added, “Lottery games, like Powerball, generate proceeds that are used to do so much good work in local communities across the country. Thank you to our players and retailers for helping us make a lasting impact from this jackpot run.”

This jackpot is the fourth largest ever for Powerball and the eighth largest among U.S. lottery jackpots.

Per the Powerball website, the odds of winning any given prize are about 1 in 24.9, butthe odds of winningthe jackpot are just a little bit slimmer, sitting at an almost impossible 1 in 292.2 million.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 pm ET at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.
