A woman in Woodway, Texas, was arrested after allegedly dragging a child to a bathroom and making him drink water from a toilet.
Claudia Velediaz-Bonifazi was placed in custody on April 3 after the child arrived at school in tears and told counselors and teachers at the school about the incident, according to an April 4news releasefrom the Woodway Public Safety Department.
He also informed officials that he “was missing pieces of his hair” as a result of the incident.

According to the Woodway Public Safety Department, these incidents allegedly included “being punched, hit with miscellaneous objects, and not being fed for long periods of time.”
The boy, meanwhile, was placed with a family member for his safety. The statement from Woodway Public Safety Department did not indicate the relationship between the child and Claudia Velediaz-Bonifazi, however, it stated that he was “in her care.”
Woodward police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
