You Can Now Bring Your Elf on the Shelf on Vacation, Thanks to this Resort

For some people, the holiday season officially starts when they hear, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the first time. But if you’re old enough to believe in Santa, it actually kicks off on Nov. 22 whenThe Elf on the Shelfmakes its annual trek from the North Pole.

That means for 24 days, it’s up to parents to not only secretly move the elf, but also to come up with creative scenes (think toilet bowl shark attack) that will delight their children. Basically, it’s as fun as it is exhausting!

“Holidays are the season for family memory-making and for many, The Elf on the Shelf brand has become a most loved and anticipated part of their annual traditions,” Luisana Suegart, Director of Public Relations for Unique Vacations, Inc.—an affiliate of the worldwide representative for Beaches Resorts—said in a press release. “It’s why we’re especially grateful to Santa for giving his Scout Elf helpers the permission to join families at Beaches this holiday season, and we can’t wait to roll out the red carpet for them with special treats and activities during their stay with us.”

Zooey Deschanel, 43,recently shared a videotoher Instagram Storyof the elaborate Elf on the Shelf display she created for her two kids, son Charlie Wolf, 6, and daughter Elsie Otter, 8.

In the clip, two elves hang from a thread attached to her heating vent, with one appearing to shimmy down the rope and the other looking like he’s clinging on.

“I can’t take a picture of them?” Deschanel asks her kids, who begin protesting.

“Well you might not see it, they might like disappear in the picture or something,” one of her kids answers.

“Oh, I hope not. What if I have magic video?” she says. “They are crafty.”

“But is it an escape or a break in?” Deschanel wrote across the video.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s also got in on the fun, sharing a scene this month of several several elves going sledding in an elaborate, crafty display.
